Thriving Together
Âé¶¹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿ÚÃâ·Ñ requires all new and transfer students to complete Thriving Together, an online training that promotes a safe, health campus culture. The trainings offers practical, trauma-informed strategies to support student well-being with important campus resources to follow.

How to Access and Complete Thriving Together
Your Thriving Together training will automatically load in your Canvas dashboard on August 4th. This course is required for all new students at Montana State University Billings and all other campuses in the Montana University System (MUS). The course will take approximately 60 to 75 minutes to complete.
- , select the Thriving Together course and complete it at your own pace.
- Your progress will be saved, allowing you to return and resume from where you left off.
- You must score 100% on all Knowledge Checks in order to pass the training.

This training is designed to help ensure students have a safe and positive experience on campus and within the community. In addition, the information is essential to helping students understand the resources and support available to them at MSUB.
The Drug Free Schools and Communities Act and Title IX require education on alcohol and other drugs and sexual assault preveniton for all members of our campus community. All Students across the country are required to learn about issues related to campus safety and to be provided information about campus policies and processes to support them if issues arise.
You are not required to complete the course twice. If you have previously completed Thriving Together at another Montana State University System institution, you do not need to repeat the training at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿ÚÃâ·Ñ.
*Note: If you have previously completed the Vecotr Solutions: AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention, the prevention team will accept proof of completion through Spring 2028.
Log into your canvas dashboard and your certificate should be visible. If not, please email prevention@msubillings.edu. Provide full name and last four digist of student ID number (GID).
You will receive a hold on your account which will prevent you from being able to register for the upcoming semester. When you complete Thriving Together in full, your registration hold will automatically lift.
When done, you will receive a certificate of completion that can be accessed through the portal. Donwload this certificate for your records.
Yes, every incoming MSUB student, in-person or online, must complete this training.

Yes, Thriving Together is committed to ensuring that all students are able to access and experience their courses. The program is in compliance with the guidelines and standards put forth by the Web Content Accessiblity Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The WCAG 2.0 covers a wide range of recommendations for making Web content accessible to individuals with disabilities, including, but not limited to, visual impairment, hearing impairment, learning disabilities, cognitive limitations, limited movement, speech disabilities, photosensitivity, and combinations of these.

If you do not have an accessible computer at home, you can use any publicly available computer with internet access and audio capabilities. If you are on campus, MSUB offers 22 student computer labs. See student computer lab locations.
