City College鈥檚 Paramedic Program curriculum meets the educational requirements for national certification. Students who complete this degree will be prepared to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic Exam.  

The Paramedic Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and therefore meets the educational requirements for students to sit for a state licensure exam, where applicable. Requirements for licensure vary from state to state. See additional information for licensure from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. 

In addition to the educational requirements for licensure in Montana, the following additional requirements must be met:  

  • Active or inactive NREMT certification

Students should also be aware that criminal background, citizenship status, residency, age, and other factors may be a condition for licensure in Montana. Students are advised to review all available information on the Montana Board of Medical Examiners website.
