Artist Statement
The goal in my art is to show the world the intricacy I see in everyday life. I am inspired so much by the world around me and the things I encounter on a daily basis. The interest I have in Chemistry has a lot to do with the intricacies and complexities involved in it. I enjoy learning about those, but I am also drawn to the aesthetic aspect of Chemistry. While in class I would find myself redrawing chemical structures because I enjoyed the way it looked. This inspired me to take some of those favorite notes from class, along with some fun doodles from lectures to create a collage that showed the unique beauty that surrounds us at a microscopic level every day. I wanted to take my two interests in life and merge them in a fun unique way that speaks to me as a person. There is so much beauty in the ordinary and mundane objects around us. I strive to live my life finding that beauty as often as possible and share it with as many other people as I can.
